Energy Camp
Attention: High School Juniors
This summer, Poudre Valley REA will sponsor three
delegates to the Cooperative Youth Leadership Camp
2008, held July 13-18. The campsite is Glen Eden
Resort, 24 miles north of Steamboat Springs.
The purpose of the camp is to show students what
a rural electric cooperative is and how it works for
its members. It also acquaints them with the energy
picture of the future. Field trips are planned that
will cover power generation, distribution
facilities, safety, etc. Fun times are also in the
works--a gondola ride, an evening banquet, and lots
of sports.
If you are interested in attending this exciting,
cost-free event, complete the application form and
return it to Poudre Valley REA, P.O. Box 272550, Ft.
Collins, CO 80527-2550, Attn: Leadership Camp.
Completed applications must be returned to Poudre
Valley REA no later than December 28, 2007.
Poudre Valley REA will provide transportation to and
from the camp.
