Poudre Valley REA - Rebate Programs

	Tax Credits, Rebates and the Stimulus Bill ARRA --The American Reinvestment and Recovery Act As a result of ARRA several new tax credits are available for Americans who wish to invest in renewable energy and/or weatherization for their homes. Please note: These are tax credits, not tax deductions. A tax credit is deducted from your actual tax NOT from your income. Just one example of how much you can save on energy conservation is the Weatherization Credit. When combined with the PVREA Insulate Program rebates from Poudre Valley REA you can save 50% off insulation, weatherstripping and other air sealing improvements to your home up to $2,100. 	INSULATION REBATES The 2010 Insulate PVREA Program is for homeowners. It provides a rebate for work completed to insulate and air-seal their attics and exterior walls to the recommended R-Values presented in the 2006 International Energy Conservation Code. Rebates are limited to 40% of the total cost of insulation and air sealing upgrades or $300, whichever is less. CLICK ON THE INSULATE PROGRAM LOGO FOR MORE INFORMATION
	Poudre Valley REA now offers rebates on EnergyStar appliances New appliances purchased by a co-op member after January 1, 2009 with an EnergyStar Rating are eligible for a direct cash rebate from PVREA and Tri-State G&T. When sending in your rebate form, please include a copy of your receipt and proof of EnergyStar compliance. Eligible appliances are: • Full-size refrigerators and freezers $40 • Clothes Washers $40 • Dishwashers $30 Links to rebate forms are included below. Heating Rebate Programs Direct rebates are available to PVREA members who purchase any of the following equipment: ELECTRIC HEAT PUMPS • $125/ton for central air source with electric backup • $100/unit additional incentive for central air source with integrated controlled ETS back up • $275/ton for “dual fuel” central air source with non-electric back up ($150/ton Tri-State, $125/ton PVREA) • $400/ton for central ground or water source ($150/ton Tri-State, $250/ton PVREA) • $85/unit for terminal units • $150/unit additional for Energy-Star Certified Heat Pumps Minimum Qualifying Specifications for Energy Star Heat Pumps: Must be 3 tons or larger. Central Air Source Split Systems: Equal or higher than 8.2 HSPF/ 14.5 SEER/ 12 EER Central Air Source Single package System: Equal or higher than 8.0 HSPF/ 14.0 SEER/ 11 EER Ground Source Closed Loop: Equal or higher than 3.3 COP and 14.1 EER Ground Source Open Loop: Equal or higher than 3.6 COP and 16.2 EER WATER HEATERS (minimum 30 gallon) • $70/unit ($50 Tri-State, $20PVREA) • $25 additional incentive for units 3000 watt, or less, elements • $120/unit for direct exchange ground source or air source heat pump ($100 Tri-State, $20 PVREA) • $25 additional incentive for lifetime tank warranty Minimum DOE Energy Factor Specifications: 30 gallon 0.93, 40 gallon 0.92, 50 gallon 0.90, 52 gallon 0.90, 65 gallon 0.89, 85 gallon 0.86, 105 gallon 0.84 AIR CONDITIONERS • $150/unit for Energy Star rated air conditioners (Minimum 3 ton) CONTROLLED OFF-PEAK SPACE HEAT (baseboards, radiant, electric thermal storage) • $20/kW for electric thermal storage units controlled by timers, etc. ($16 Tri-State, $4 PVREA) • $16/kW for controlled thermal slab units ($12 Tri-State, $4 PVREA) • $10/kw for other controlled resistive/radiant systems ($6 Tri-State, $4 PVREA) EQUIPMENT REBATES MUST BE REQUESTED WITHIN 180 DAYS OF INSTALLATION.
