Insulation Rebates
The Insulate PVREA Program is for homeowners. It provides a rebate for work completed to insulate and air-seal existing attics and exterior walls to the recommended R-Values presented in the 2006 International Energy Conservation Code. Rebates are limited to 40% of the total cost of insulation and air sealing upgrades or $300, whichever is less.

Heating and Cooling Rebates
Direct rebates are available to PVREA members who purchase any of the following equipment:

ELECTRIC HEAT PUMPS
Starting January 1, 2012, PVREA will make three significant changes to the electric heat pump part of the Energy Efficient Credits rebate program.
1)     All heating rebate applications submitted to PVREA must include a copy of a commissioning form in addition to the application form and invoice that have been required for the last several years. Consumers applying for energy efficient credits rebates from PVREA will not qualify for any rebates for heating equipment if a copy of a commissioning form does not accompany the application.
2)      Consumer rebate applications for heating equipment installed by Select-HVAC certified contractors will be eligible for Level 1 Rebates. See chart below.
3)     Consumer rebate applications for heating equipment installed by all HVAC Contractors are eligible for Level 2 Rebates as long as a copy of a commissioning form is included with the invoice/application. Any documentation describing the sizing and pre-operation testing will qualify.

Please call Gary Myers for information, and the benefits associated with, our “SELECT HVAC” program.

Electric Motor Rebates
Applies to the installation of a new premium efficiency motor with a minimum of 10 horsepower, which is to operate at a minimum of 15% load factor or for a minimum of 3 months each year. Motors less than 10 horsepower qualify if the aggregate for a single application, which requires all motors to operate, is at least 10 horsepower. The applicant must certify that the motor is new and neither re-wound or moved from another location.

EFFICIENCY STANDARDS

Efficiency ratings for general purpose motors must conform to NEMA Publication MG 1, revised in 2003. The minimum standards for premium efficiency electric motors are printed in Tables 12-12. The minimum standards for premium efficiency special purpose motors, i.e. vertical hollow shaft and submersible, are printed in the Special Purpose Motor Table.

PAYMENTS
